Sarah Stovell from the one-year course finishing in July was appointed content editor for the Friday Media Group in West Sussex. Claire Smyth from the fast-track class is joining the Western Gazette in Yeovil and Claire French has started work at the Surrey Advertiser as their Elmbridge reporter. Stuart Matson was appointed as a commercial features writer for the Bath Chronicle, while Max Anderton went on to become head of digital content at Men's Fitness magazine, a Dennis Publishing title. Jenni Davidson wrote for Brighton & Hove News, Culture 24 and the BBC before moving into local government communications for the social care department of a county council. She returned to Edinburgh in October 2015 to work for the current affairs magazine Holyrood, specialising in local government and housing issues.
Alice Neal and Danny Bell both scooped NCTJ excellence awards by recording the national highest scores of the year in the essential and court reporting exams.
